We believe children should eat balanced, nutritious meals; which is why we provide a hot lunch and morning snack four days a week (sack lunch from home on Fridays).
Toddlers (15 mo-2 years)
Toddlers are big people too and our toddlers’ class is meant to be an extension of home. The classroom environment is maintained to allow the young child to grow, explore, and develop independence in a safe, nurturing atmosphere.
At this age, play and learning are one. Emphasis is placed on exploring and playing together as toddlers begin their understanding of socially appropriate behavior. Developmentally appropriate lessons are introduced in centers (see Our Curriculum) like:
- Creative Arts - Block Building - Music and Movement - Dramatic Play - Christian Teachings
The Fingerprints Christian Preschool staff is always available to help during this dynamic and exciting stage in your child’s life. When ready, we will even work with you to successfully potty train your toddler. We encourage parent involvement and believe communication is the key to your child’s success. At the end of every day, each student is provided with a detailed “daily sheet” communicating the child’s activities to you, the parent.
